From 1st July, Penryn Surgery will be making a change to how we schedule staff training.
Instead of closing for 2 hours once a month, we will now close for a half day once every quarter (four times a year) for essential staff training.
This change will allow us to:
- Provide more in-depth training
- Invite external teams and specialists
- Continue improving the quality and safety of care we provide to our patients
What this means for you
Our first quarterly closure will take place:
- From 1pm on 1st July
- The surgery will reopen as normal at 8:00am the following day
During this time:
- Reception and our phone lines will be closed
- Online appointment request forms will be unavailable
- Dispensary and prescription enquiries will be closed
- Hendra Pharmacy next door to the surgery remains open as usual.
We understand this is a change to our usual routine and appreciate your understanding. These training sessions are essential in helping us deliver safe, up-to-date, and high-quality care for our patients.
If you need urgent medical advice while we are closed, please contact NHS 111, who can direct you to the most appropriate service.
